I was at the last game at Old Crosley Field, Reds beat SF on the strength of Johnny Bench and Lee May hitting back to back home runs. After the game they removed home plate and took it to riverfront. Everybody was trying to take souvenirs. Some tried t take whole sections of seats. Loved Old Crosley.

I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, went to Withrow High School and was scouted by the Cincinnati Reds and was privileged to have played two games in Crosley Field. It was a dream come true and something I will always cherish and never forget.

No, the last game at Crosley was in 1970; Larkin didn't play in the majors till late '80's.

That was, like, only Barry Larkin's 2nd or 3rd year in the league right?

Crosley Field, August 5th 1956, my first MLB game, with my Grandparents of course. Is it no wonder I love the Redlegs?
